A Better Way Out
"Then the Lord said, I have surely seen the affliction of my people who are in Egypt and have heard their cry because of their taskmasters. I know their sufferings, and I have come down to deliver them." - Exodus 3:7-8
There is something powerful about seeing a team or a person go from stuck to successful. But it rarely happens by accident. It takes a shift in approach. A change in mindset. A new plan. That is exactly what we see in Exodus chapter 3 when God steps into the story of His people.
After 400 years of bondage in Egypt, the Israelites were exhausted. Beaten down. Hopeless. They had been living under the weight of suffering for so long that freedom probably felt more like a dream than a real possibility. But God had seen enough. And He was not just going to comfort them. He was going to lead them out.
But this deliverance would not come through chaos or random movement. It would come through a plan. God met with Moses and laid it out piece by piece. This was not going to be reactionary or messy. This was a divine playbook. A path from bondage to freedom. And it all started when Moses stopped doing what he had always done and listened to the voice of God.
Sometimes we stay in cycles of struggle because we are still using the same old approach. We want to be free, but we are still living without direction. We are reacting instead of leading. Just like the Israelites, we need to abandon the old way and trust God’s new plan for us.
You do not have to stay stuck. The same God who delivered His people out of Egypt is still writing playbooks for freedom today. He does not just want to get you out. He wants to lead you into something good. Something spacious. Something full of life and hope.
But it starts with following His plan. Not yours.
