Take Shelter in God’s Protection
"The blood shall be a sign for you, on the houses where you are. And when I see the blood, I will pass over you, and no plague will befall you." - Exodus 12:13
As God prepared to bring the final plague upon Egypt, the moment had come for His people to take refuge under His protection. God was not only bringing judgment on Egypt’s oppression; He was offering mercy to His people. And He gave them a clear instruction. Mark your homes with the blood of a lamb. When the angel of death passes through, you and your family will be safe.
What stands out here is not just the judgment but the mercy. God gave them a way out. He did not leave them guessing or trying to figure things out on their own. He provided a clear and specific covering so they could have peace in the midst of chaos.
Here is the truth we need to hold onto today. God still provides a covering for His people. Life is filled with storms, challenges, and moments that shake us. But God has not left us without shelter. He invites us to take refuge in Him.
We often try to face life’s battles in our own strength. We work harder, we worry more, we strategize, and we stress. But the call of God is simple. Come under My covering. Trust in My protection. Let My peace guard your heart.
This is not about escaping every hardship or avoiding every challenge. It is about knowing where to place your trust. It is about living with the confidence that no matter what is happening around you, God’s hand is over you.
God’s protection does not mean life will be easy. But it does mean you do not have to face it alone. Just like He provided a way of shelter for His people in Egypt, He offers you the same invitation. Take refuge in His presence and let His peace guard your heart today.
