Faith Moves Forward
"By faith Abraham obeyed when he was called to go out to a place that he was to receive as an inheritance. And he went out, not knowing where he was going." - Hebrews 11:8
Faith is always moving forward. It’s not just about holding on to a promise. It’s about making progress toward it, even when you don’t have all the details. That’s what set Abram apart. His faith wasn’t passive. It was active. It pushed him to keep moving even when the path was unclear.
Abram didn’t just sit around waiting for everything to make sense. He didn’t stay in Haran trying to figure out all the steps before he obeyed. He simply took the next step God told him to take. And that’s what faith looks like.
So often, we get stuck waiting for God to lay out the entire plan before we move. We want to see every turn, every obstacle, every blessing before we take a single step. But God rarely works that way. He calls us to move forward even when the way isn’t clear.
Faith moves even when the answers haven’t arrived. Faith keeps pressing on even when the promise feels distant. And faith chooses to trust God’s leading one step at a time.
What’s interesting about Abram’s journey is that he wasn’t just moving physically. His faith was developing as he went. Every altar he built was a testimony to his progress. Every step he took was an act of trust. And every moment of obedience drew him closer to what God had promised.
Are you stuck because you’re waiting for God to reveal the entire plan before you take action? What if God is waiting for you to move before He shows you the next step?
Faith isn’t just believing. It’s moving. It’s taking steps even when you can’t see the whole path. It’s trusting that if God calls you to something, He will guide you through it.
Stop waiting for perfect conditions. Move forward in faith. And as you do, watch how God meets you in the movement. Because sometimes, the breakthrough only comes when you take that first step.
