Thank You, God
"Oh give thanks to the Lord, for he is good, for his steadfast love endures forever!" - Psalm 107:1
Thanksgiving is more than just a holiday. It’s a moment to pause, reflect, and acknowledge the goodness of God in our lives. In the busyness of life, it’s easy to focus on what we lack, what we wish we had, or what we think we deserve. But gratitude requires us to shift our perspective—to recognize and appreciate all that God has already provided.
Think about where you are today. Even if life hasn’t turned out exactly the way you planned, God has still brought you through challenges, blessed you in ways you didn’t expect, and sustained you through the storms. It’s easy to get caught up in wanting more: A better job, more financial security, healthier relationships.
But sometimes we forget to stop and say, “Thank you, God, for what I already have.” The air in our lungs, the roof over our heads, the people who love us, the opportunities we’ve been given. These are blessings that can easily be overlooked when we’re too focused on what we don’t have.
This season of Thanksgiving calls us to reflect on God’s faithfulness. He has been good to you, even in the hard times. Every time you’ve been down, He’s picked you back up. Every need you’ve had, He’s provided for. And His love for you? It has never wavered, even when life has been uncertain.
When you take time to reflect on all that God has done, you start to realize just how much you have to be thankful for. Gratitude isn’t about having everything you want, it’s about recognizing the blessings you already have and trusting that God will continue to meet your needs.
So, instead of focusing on the things that feel out of reach, take this time to thank God for His faithfulness, His provision, and His love. As you celebrate this Thanksgiving, may your heart overflow with gratitude for all God has done.
