The Unlimited Power Of God
"Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us." - Ephesians 3:20
God’s power goes beyond our wildest dreams. The Apostle Paul tells us that God's power “exceeds abundantly” beyond anything we can think or imagine. If you could quantify "abundantly," God would surpass that measure. His power far exceeds our capacity to comprehend or even imagine.
Paul wanted the Ephesians to grasp how vast and extensive God's power is. God's power has no limitations or boundaries. There is no mountain high enough, no valley low enough, no river wide enough to keep Him from us. He prays that we would know the height and depth of God's power, illustrating that God's strength is not bound by geographical location or philosophical understanding. The same power that operates in high places is the same power that operates in low places. It touches the strong and the weak alike.
This power of God is within all of us, not just a select few. It’s the same power that healed the centurion’s servant and the woman with the issue of blood. It’s the same power that blessed Jairus and healed the blind men by the roadside. God's power is so vast and boundless that even death cannot conquer it.
To access this power, we must stay connected to the source. Jesus said in John 15, “I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit.” Just like our cell phones or laptops need to be recharged, we too lose our strength unless we are plugged into God’s power. We connect to this power through worship, reading the Word, volunteering, giving, and sharing our faith. These practices keep us plugged into the power that sustains us.
Without regularly reconnecting with God, we deplete our strength and eventually burn out. But remember, God’s power is inexhaustible. Stay connected to Him and let His power work within you to accomplish more than you could ever ask or imagine.
