Owning God’s Love
"There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus." - Romans 8:1
Have you ever been made to feel unworthy, unwanted, or unloved because of the opinions and judgments of others? If so, I want to provide you with some hope today and let you know that there is freedom from that shame. Did you know that you can embrace and own the love of God in your life?
In the story of Mary Magdalene, we see a powerful example of someone who refused to let shame dictate her life. Despite facing criticism, judgment, and exclusion from society, Mary chose to step out of the shadows and into the presence of Jesus. She knew that Jesus had a track record of welcoming and accepting those whom society deemed unworthy or undesirable.
Like Mary, you have the opportunity to experience freedom from shame by placing your trust in Jesus. He is the one who sees beyond the surface and looks upon the heart. He is the one who offers forgiveness, acceptance, and unconditional love to all who come to Him.
You may have been marginalized, judged, or excluded by others, but Jesus stands ready to embrace you with open arms. He will never cast you out or turn you away. His love knows no bounds, and His grace is sufficient to cover all your mistakes, failures, and shortcomings.
As you journey with Jesus, you will come to understand that His love is greater than any shame or condemnation you may face. You don't have to keep rehearsing the negative words and opinions of others. You don't have to let shame control your thoughts and actions any longer. You can step boldly into the light of God's love and own the freedom He offers.
Don't let the shame of your past or the opinions of others hold you back any longer. Allow Jesus to wash away your shame and renew your spirit with His unconditional love. Step out of the shadows and into the light of His grace, knowing that you are fully accepted and cherished just as you are.
