Walking Purely Under God's Protection
"Therefore, since we have these promises, dear friends, let us purify ourselves from everything that contaminates body and spirit, perfecting holiness out of reverence for God." - 2 Corinthians 7:1
In 2 Corinthians 7:1, Paul reminds us of the promises available to every child of God. Among these promises is the assurance of God's protection, as He declares, "I will walk among them."
The promise of God's protection is both comforting and empowering. It reassures us that we are not alone in our journey through life, but that God Himself walks alongside us, guiding, guarding, and watching over us with vigilant care.
To walk purely under God's protection means to live a life of holiness and righteousness, free from the contaminations of sin and impurity. It requires a deliberate commitment to purify ourselves from anything that compromises our spiritual well-being and hinders our fellowship with God.
Walking purely involves aligning our thoughts, words, and actions with God's will and His Word. It means choosing obedience over disobedience, love over hatred, and integrity over deceit. It's about living with integrity and authenticity, reflecting the character of Christ in all that we do.
When we walk purely, God promises His protection over us. He shields us from harm, defends us against the schemes of the enemy, and preserves us from the consequences of sin. His presence becomes a fortress around us, a refuge in times of trouble, and a stronghold in times of distress.
However, it's important to note that God's protection is not a guarantee of immunity from trials or hardships. As believers, we will still face challenges and difficulties in life. Yet, even in the midst of adversity, God promises to be with us, sustaining us with His strength and comforting us with His presence.
Therefore, let us strive to walk purely before God, knowing that His protection is assured for those who trust in Him. Let us purify ourselves from anything that hinders our relationship with Him and let us rest confidently in His promise to walk among us, guarding and guiding us every step of the way.
Embrace the promise of God's protection as you walk purely before Him. Trust in His faithfulness and allow His presence to be your refuge and your strength.
