Your Pathway to Success
“Walk in obedience to all that the Lord your God has commanded you, so that you may live and prosper and prolong your days in the land that you will possess.” - Deuteronomy 5:33
As we continue to look at what it means to be successful through the eyes of God, I want you to understand something. When it comes to godly success, or being successful for God, it takes sacrifice.
For some, it might mean giving up everything to follow God. For others, it might mean giving up a person, behavior, or negative trait. It might mean leaving your location to find a new one, or it might mean staying where you are even though you are desperate to leave.
What you must understand is that everyone has a different pathway. God created each of us for a specific purpose. But that purpose isn’t version 2.0 of someone else’s life. It is an original version of your own life.
Deuteronomy 5:33 says, “Walk in obedience to all that the Lord your God has commanded you, so that you may live and prosper and prolong your days in the land that you will possess.”
To whom much is given, much is required. In order to be successful, do not become discouraged if your faith walk appears more difficult than the journey of others. Low lying fruit is never as rewarding as that at the top of the tree. Fruit on the ground is trampled, bruised, and half-eaten. Fruit at the top is sun-kissed, unharmed, and free of the word’s blemishes.
It will be wort the effort. If you want to truly be successful and find the type of fulfillment you can’t get anywhere else, it starts by following His pathway. Remain obedient to God and let Him lead the way.
