It Takes Time
“But if we hope for what we do not yet have, we wait for it patiently.” - Romans 8:25
If you are going to make a real life change, the type that actually lasts, you must understand something: change takes time.
Over the last week, we have talked a lot about writing a new chapter. If you have not followed along with us, there is something I want you to know. You do not have to stay in the chapter of life you are currently in.
If you are tired of living in sin or tired of being bitter about the past, let God lead you into a new chapter. True life change, the type where your habits, your faith, and your obedience truly transform, is often a process.
God can make a change in your life in an instance. However, God allows you to grow over time and become the person He has designed you to be through that process.
What you need for that life change to truly happen is PATIENCE. That’s right. If you really are committed to the life God wants you to live, then you are going to need patience as God takes you from where you are now to where He wants to lead you.
Romans 8:25 says, “But if we hope for what we do not yet have, we wait for it patiently.”
Remain patient as God transforms you into who He wants you to be. Allow Him to lead you through that journey, no matter how long it takes. You won’t regret it. There is no greater fulfillment than following God’s will for your life.
