One More Round
“Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer.” - Romans 12:12
If you are going to experience a comeback, you are not only going to need strength—you are going to need PATIENCE. Romans 12:12 reminds us to, “Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer.”
The devil doesn’t want you to make an easy comeback. He wants you to believe that you were defeated, you are defeated, and you will always be defeated. He knows what positive impact you can have if you have godly confidence, and He doesn’t want to see that. He wants to keep you from following God’s will. And that is why He will make your comeback difficult.
This is a race of endurance. And the swiftest is not necessarily the winner. The winner is the one that is able to endure—the one that is willing to go one more round, again and again.
There is a story of a man who was experiencing a bad drug addiction. He came across a man who had overcome the very addiction he was fighting against. He asked the man how he overcame what seemed to be an impossible fight. The man said, “I constantly told myself, one more day.” The man would tell himself this every day.
Winning the fight isn’t always a one-time decision that is won in one incredible moment. It is a day-by-day, round-by-round fight. Keep going. Your comeback is on its way. One more day. One more round.
