Staying To Yourself
“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” - Matthew 11:28-30
So many times, people implode or explode in life because they don’t avail themselves to the people and the resources that could bless them. They are either afraid to talk to others, embarrassed to seek help, or just don’t know how to do it or where to turn.
The result is men and women lashing out at others. The result is young and old people a like threatening to commit suicide online, preferring to divulge their problems with a screen instead of a person.
Do you struggle with staying to yourself? When things get difficult, times get hard, or you find yourself in a tough spot, do you shut down?
My friend, don’t hold it all in. When you intensely try to bridle one area of your life, it tends to explode in other areas of your life. Talk to someone. But don’t just talk to anyone. A counselor and a therapist are important. And you have a God at your disposal who specializes in the kind of problem you are dealing with.
Matthew 11:28-30 says, “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.”
Do not let it build up any longer. Stop holding it all in. Pray to God that He will give you patience and peace. Pray that He brings people into your life who can help you navigate your situation. You do not have to stay to yourself any longer.
