The One You Miss
“Jesus said to him, ‘I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” - John 14:6
Jesus can be all around you and you can still miss Him completely. The presence of the Lord can be moving, and you still leave the same way you can because you think you have time.
I remember meeting someone very special a few years ago. They were right there. I was talking to them. Got her number. However, I was focused on other things. I put our potential relationship on the backburner.
A few months later I looked up on social media and she was dating someone else. Man, that messed with my mind. I guess Andy Rooney was right. He said, “Opportunities are never lost. Someone (else) will take the one you miss.”
Don’t miss Jesus. Don’t be so caught up in making a living that you miss obtaining eternal life. Don’t get so preoccupied with life down here that you fail to make reservations up there. How do you do that? Give your life to Him.
He is the only way. John 14:6 says, “Jesus said to him, ‘I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”
Don’t let Jesus be the one you miss. Don’t let this opportunity slip while it is still here. Let Jesus be the author and perfecter of your life. He has so much in store for you. But you will never know if you continue to put it off, rely only on the knowledge of knowing Him, or continue to choose your career, as we discussed yesterday.
Don't keep waiting. Don’t let Him be the one you miss. When you call, He will answer. He’s waiting.
