You Missed It
“And He could do no mighty work there, except that He laid his hands on a few sick people and healed them. And He marveled because of their unbelief. And He went about among the villages teaching.” - Mark 6:5-6
Yesterday, we talked about a businessman whose greatest regret was not driving Jeff Bezos to the airport. Instead, his friend drove Bezos and became a business partner as he built Amazon. There are moments in life when we will have opportunities.
The question is, will you seize those opportunities, or will you miss them? Don’t hear me wrong, these are not just opportunities for wealth or fortune, but also about obedience to God. As a follower of Christ, God has a special plan for your life.
Before He created you, He already had a plan and purpose for your life. The greatest version of your life is the one that obeys God’s will and follows the path He created for you. Along that path, you will have opportunities. I encourage you not to miss them.
Mark 6 tells a story of when Jesus was rejected at Nazareth. The people there didn’t believe Him, and they missed an opportunity. Mark 6:5-6 says, “And He could do no mighty work there, except that He laid his hands on a few sick people and healed them. And He marveled because of their unbelief. And He went about among the villages teaching.”
Their unbelief caused them to miss out on Jesus' teaching and healing power. Just imagine whose life might have changed by taking full advantage of this opportunity.
And what about you? How would your life change by taking full advantage of the opportunities God has placed in front of you? God wants to do amazing things in and through you. Don’t miss it. Seek Him before it’s too late, and don’t miss the opportunities God puts in front of you. You might never get the same one again!
