He Secures You
“For the Lord will be your confidence and will keep your foot from being caught.” - Proverbs 3:26
Yesterday we discussed how God sees you. When you are frustrated, God listens and is fully capable of handling your problems. When your heart breaks, His heart breaks. When you cry, He cries with you.
But not only does he see you. He secures you. What does that mean? It means that God assumes full responsibility for you. He is watching over you and he is protecting you. Everything God does for you is for your good. He is still looking out for you.
Have you become angry with God? Are you losing hope in your situation changing for the better? You may feel like a toddler having a temper tantrum, yelling, “this is what I want, why can’t I have it, why have I been waiting so long, are you listening God, do you care?” And I am here to tell you that God does care. But many times, if God hasn’t provided what we desire, it’s because we don’t need it, or there is still some work that must be done (in us or our circumstances) before we can secure it.
Don’t see a “No” or “Not Yet” as God’s apathy. It’s God’s love that shields us from that which is not good nor necessary in our lives. The next time you want to get angry at God, remember that you are too valuable to settle for that which does not serve you. Everything you have is everything you need in this moment.
God wants you to know, today, that you are loved. He wants you to know your future is secure in Him, and He is taking care of you. You might not agree with everything He does. But that doesn’t change His love for you. You are secured in Christ Jesus today!
