Bounce Back
“No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.” - Romans 8:37
In 2017, Big Sean released the song “Bounce Back.” The lyrics go; “Last night took an L but tonight I bounce back.” The “L” is referring to loss. It is a famous catchphrase that is now said more often than when the song was first released. But it’s not just catchy, it’s the truth.
As believers, when we get knocked down, we should not stay down. God has commanded us to get back up. Romans 8:37 says, “No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.”
As Christians, we will not go “undefeated.” We will not win every battle. The Lord does not promise us that all times will be good times. He does not say that He will relieve us from all pain at every moment. In fact, He assures us the opposite. He warns us that in this life, we will have difficulties. We will feel pain. We will deal with heartbreak and loss.
But that does not mean we have to “hold that L” permanently. What I mean by that is, just because you suffer a loss, regardless of what form that is in, you do not have to hold on to that loss and stay down forever. You can BOUNCE BACK.
God is on your side. He is ready to help you and lead you back. You might be down for the moment, but you do not have to stay there. It’s time to bounce back. I don’t know what your circumstances are or how long you’ve been down, but it’s time to bounce back.
God is ready and waiting for you. TONIGHT is the night. Are you ready to bounce back?
