HERE and NOW
“Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.” - Hebrews 11:1
Are you a believer and follower of Christ? Is there a time when you gave your life to Christ? If so, and you consider yourself a Christian, I want to ask you a question. Why is it that you have trusted your eternal destination, where you will spend all of eternity after you die, in the hands of God...but you won’t trust Him with your daily concerns?
When you really start to think about it, it’s CRAZY. Yet we all do it. As Christians, we believe that when we die, we will spend eternity in heaven, a place we have not seen. We believe our spirit will be raised from the dead, something we have not seen. We believe we will live with God, whom we have not seen. And we have complete faith in all of this.
But when it comes to our daily lives and current struggles, we reject, question, and doubt the Word of God. Why is that? If you can trust God with the eternal, you can trust Him with the carnal.
God wants you to have the same conviction and belief that He can handle your current circumstances as you do that He will lift you up from the dead and bring you to heaven where you will spend eternity with Him.
If God can send His Son to earth to live a blameless life, have Him die on the cross, and resurrect Him from the dead, predict all of those events thousands of years before they happened, and pull it off exactly as He says, why can’t He help you overcome your trials? Why can’t He free you from your addiction? Why can’t He mend your broken relationship(s)? Why can’t He jumpstart your career?
He can. He can do it all. It’s time to start trusting the God of eternity with the HERE and NOW!
