Guard Your Mind

“Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” - Philippians 4:6-7 
 
When the storms of life hit, God offers peace. This is important because God is not just saying He will give you a peace that guards your heart (your emotions and feelings), but He will give you a peace that guards your mind as well!

Are you in a storm of life right now? Does your mind take you to some really dark places? Maybe you play out really awful scenarios that you are worried will happen. Maybe you become anxious because you think the worst is going to happen.
 
When you pray to God and ask for His peace, He will give it to you. And that peace will not only guard your heart, but it will also guard your mind. God will protect you against your own thoughts and give you the type of peace that allows you to relax and trust Him no matter what is happening in your life.

If you are struggling with your thoughts, playing mind games in your head all the time, pray right now. Ask God to give you a peace that surpasses all understanding, and a peace that will guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus!
