Look Beyond the Barrier
“Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” - Philippians 4:6-7
One day, two men were walking when one expressed his doubt regarding the goodness of God. He was struggling to figure out what to do with all his worry. While they were walking, they saw a cow looking over a stone wall.
The troubled man asked why the cow was looking over the wall. The other gentleman said. “the cow is looking over the wall because she knows something is greater beyond the barriers she sees. And you too must look beyond your problems to see God is moving in your life.”
Real faith is when we give our worries to God and trust that He will work everything out as He sees best. Matthew 6:27 asks the question, “Can all your worries add a single moment to your life?”
What does worrying do for you? It only brings further anxiety and depression. Instead of worrying and doing something that doesn’t serve you and only makes you feel worse, why don’t you do something that will make you feel better?
Talk to the God who is in control of all things. He already knows the outcome. And He does everything in our best interest. What are you worried about today? Paul wants to tell you, quit worrying about it, and start praying about it! It’s time to break through that barrier!
