Just Start

Over the last couple of days, we have talked about the disease of perfectionism. When we chase a life with no flaws, we are searching in vain for something that does not exist. God has a mission for our lives. And we should not let perfectionism be the reason we do not pursue His purpose for us!
There are many who ignore God or delay responding to God because they are waiting for everything to align in their life, with no problems. They say that they will start a business, pursue the opportunity, quit doing unhealthy habits, and start adopting a healthy lifestyle when everything aligns how they see fit. However, this “perfect” time never arrives.
The enemy uses this idea of perfection to delay our obedience to God. And many times, he tricks us into believing perfectionism is obedience. This is nonsense. It is impractical and unattainable. God does not want you to wait for the perfect person or perfect time. He wants you to move in obedience to Him. Will you make mistakes along the way? Yes.
But that is just part of the journey! It won’t be perfect. But God will take care of you, and He will bless you for being obedient to Him. After accepting Jesus as your Lord and Savior, there is no better decision you can make than obeying the will of God. Do not delay any longer, just follow Him today!
