You Are Safe
“Fearing people is a dangerous trap, but trusting the Lord means safety.” - Proverbs 29:25
If you have accepted Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior, I have good news for you. He is with you wherever you go. Do you understand what this means? God will show up in your life whenever and wherever you need Him.
This is the type of God He is! Yesterday I mentioned that I recently came across a book titled, “The Power of Showing Up.” The book talks about how children need at least one adult in their life to consistently show up. It raises the level of all aspects of their life.
Why do they need someone to show up? Because that person will provide four needs for them: the need to feel safe, the need to be seen, the need to receive soothing, and the need to feel secure. This is not just true of young children, but also of children of God. We all need these things.
Today, we will discuss safety. When you accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior, you are safe. He takes on the responsibility of protecting you. Proverbs 29:25 assures us of this when it says, “Fearing people is a dangerous trap, but trusting the Lord means safety.”
Do you believe that? As a child of God, do you feel safe? You should. There is nothing in this world that can overpower the safety God provides you with. He is in control of all things. And He is watching over you, even now.
What are you afraid of? Is it another person? Are you afraid of not having enough money? Losing your job? An addiction you consistently lose battles with? Whatever it is, He is with you, and you are safe in His arms. You do not have to fear. God will show up for you. And He will protect you. You are safe!
