Doesn’t Mean...
“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.” - 2 Corinthians 5:17
Do you allow outside noise to get the better of you? Do you get caught up in the perception others have of you? It is easy to let the opinions of others affect us. As human beings, we are all prone to letting outsiders determine who we are or who we should be. But that does not have to be our story.
Just because people say something about you doesn’t mean that is who you really are. They do not know everything that is going on in your life. They do not know your background, how you were raised, the circumstances and experiences that have influenced you, the people you have come across, or the struggles you have dealt with.
They might know some of the story, but no one knows the whole story, even those closest to you. So without all the information, how can they accurately say who you are and who you are not? They are not the judge and jury in your life. God is the true Judge.
2 Corinthians 5:17 says, “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.”
How people may view you is not how God values you. He knows your value and what you have to offer. Do not give others the power to decide your story. Do not let others confirm who you are or who you are not.
Be who God created you to be. That is all you must worry about. Obey God and let Him take care of the rest!
