Preparing For Rain
“And it is impossible to please God without faith. Anyone who wants to come to Him must believe that God exists and that He rewards those who sincerely seek Him.” - Hebrews 11:6
Are you prepared for the rain? Yesterday, we told the story of a community that was going through a serious rain drought. It was affecting their livestock and they were in desperate need of rain. As a result, the community gathered to pray and ask God for rain.
At this gathering, there was a young girl who brought an umbrella. At first, the pastor thought she was crazy. He could not understand why this young girl brought an umbrella since it hadn’t rained for such a long period of time.
Then it hit the pastor, and he was immediately convicted. This little girl brought an umbrella because she trusted God to give them what they were asking for. She had true faith. Despite all the evidence against why it would rain, she trusted that God was going to do provide for their needs.
That little girl was prepared for rain. Are you? What are you asking God for that you need Him to do for you? What are you waiting for and hoping that God will grant or give you in your own life? If He sent it today, are you prepared for it?
Hebrews 11:6 says, “And it is impossible to please God without faith. Anyone who wants to come to Him must believe that God exists and that He rewards those who sincerely seek Him.”
Perhaps God hasn’t sent it yet because you aren’t prepared for it. Don’t just pray for rain, prepare for it. God will only give us what we are ready to receive. How are you preparing for your blessings today?
