Called By God
“Then if my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sins and restore their land.” - 2 Chronicles 7:14
When you pray, something amazing happens. You access the power of God. The Lord wants you to pray to Him because that is when the real magic happens. That is when God works His will in your life.
2 Chronicles 7:14 describes it this way, “Then if my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sins and restore their land.” Over the next few days, we are going to break this verse down piece by piece to understand the power that happens when we are obedient.
Do you know that you have been chosen by God? The Lord has handpicked you to be His child and to follow Him.
The verse says, “Then if my people who are called by my name….” My friend, if you have accepted Christ as your personal Lord and Savior, then YOU are His people. God has chosen you, and He has a special purpose for your life. You have a mission.
How are you going to know that plan and purpose if you don’t spend time with Him in prayer? Like any great relationship, it is all about communication. To know the heart of God, you must talk to Him. The Lord is waiting to talk to you. He has chosen you. Now is the time to learn all that He has in store for you, and that starts with prayer!
