Power of Prayer
“One day Jesus told His disciples a story to show that they should always pray and never give up.” - Luke 18:1
One of the things we know as Christians is that prayer is the foundation of and for our spiritual lives. It is the manner in which we are able to tap into the power of heaven to obtain guidance, strength, and direction down here on earth. Prayer is not an elective in the university of Christian life; it is part of the core curriculum.
It is the first assertion in Luke 18:1 that men and women ought to always pray and never give up. I can tell you firsthand that all I have attained in this world came from the power of prayer. I believe 2 Chronicles 7:14 when it says, “Then if my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sins and restore their land.”
As important as prayer is, many struggle with prayer because they don’t see immediate results from their prayers. Remember, God operates on His own schedule. Just because God does not grant your prayer request the instant you ask Him does not mean He is not going to respond to you.
God answers prayer. He just does so in His own timing. But you can be assured that there is power in prayer. The Bible tells us many times that we should keep on praying and never give up. The Lord answers prayer. What prayer request do you need Him to answer?
If you are struggling or in need of help, there is no better solution than to pray to your Heavenly Father. God wants to help you, He wants to be there for you, and He wants to be the answer to all your problems. When you call on the name of the Lord, you are calling on the most POWERFUL Being imaginable. There is nothing beyond His limits. Are you ready to access the power of prayer today? Pray in faith and know that God is moving on your behalf.
