Valued By God
“Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?” – Matthew 6:26
As a believer in Christ, you are not only chosen and adopted by God, but you are also valued by God.
First, you are valued by God because of who you are. You are made in the image of God (Genesis 1:26). Second, you are valued by God because of what you cost. “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life” (John 3:16). Third, you are valued by God because of your purpose. “For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do” (Ephesians 2:10).
You were uniquely designed to bring glory to God, and He values each and every one of His children. You have unique gifts that God entrusted in you to make a difference and influence others.
God’s power is not limited by our human mindset. He sees our value because He created us with value. The next time you feel as though you are not important, remember that if God can take care of the birds of the air, He is infinitely powerful enough to take care of you.
