God’s Blessing Of Revelation
“The secret things belong to the Lord our God, but the things revealed belong to us and to our children forever, that we may follow all the words of this law.” - Deuteronomy 29:29
As we have highlighted over the last couple days, God gives us the blessings of redemption and reconciliation. But thirdly, Paul goes on to say in Ephesians 1:8-10 that we also have received the blessing of revelation. Christ, the text says, reveals to Christians the will of God for their lives.
“With all wisdom and insight, Christ has made known to us the mystery of his will.” In accordance with His good measure and as an act of His lavish grace, God makes known His will to us; that is revelation. And what a blessing that is because sometimes we do not see things clearly.
Sometimes, we don’t know what we should do, what we should say, or where we should go, but thanks be to God. He gives us revelation and helps us to see things clearly that we could not see clearly on our own. Jesus is the lens through which we should begin to view life and the world when we give our lives to Him. When we do, He helps us to see things we could not see before.
Once you give your life to Christ, you start to see your life, your relationships, your friendships, and your money in a different way than you did before you gave your life to Christ. It was as if we had a cloudy vision and a difficult time seeing, but God opened the skies and allowed his “Son-light,” not “SUN” light but “SON-light” to shine through. This allows us to see what we were previously unable to see.
If you are a believer, this is definitely a blessing you do not want to take for granted. Perhaps you have forgotten the lack of clarity you had before you accepted Christ. Or maybe you have gotten away from the Lord and need to return to experience the blessing of revelation. Wherever you are at, make sure you are in a position for God to bless you with this amazing gift; and when He does, be sure to thank Him for such an incredible blessing.
