Haters Gonna Hate
“Dear friends, do not be surprised at the fiery ordeal that has come on you to test you, as though something strange were happening to you. But rejoice in as much as you participate in the sufferings of Christ, so that you may be overjoyed when his glory is revealed.” - 1 Peter 4:12-13
Over the last couple of days, we have talked about the power God wants to bring about within you. The gifts, talents, experiences, people, and circumstances you have found yourself in are all intentional as God guides you towards the plan and purpose He has for your life.
However, as wonderful as it is to think about the fact that the Creator of the universe has an individual purpose for you, it does not mean it will be easy… but it will be worth it!
Have you ever heard the phrase “If it was easy, everyone would do it!” Well, it’s true! Think about the things people want most in life. $1,000,000 dollar salaries, to become CEOs of companies, to be professional athletes or musicians, to be social media influencers. If these things were easy, everyone would have it or do it. But they are not. And the same goes for living out the purpose God has for your life.
As sad as it is to say, so many people fail to ever live the plan God intended for them. This is because it is not easy. In 1 Peter 4, the disciple tells us, “Dear friends, do not be surprised at the fiery ordeal that has come on you to test you, as though something strange were happening.”
When you face trials or tribulations, this does not always mean that you aren’t following God’s will. In fact, you might be right in the middle of where God wants you to be. These challenges are sent to help you grow so that you can continue to do all that He has called you to do. There is no greater thing you can do than to follow the Will of God. And you will not regret it.
It may not be easy… but it is always worth it!
