Mountains Already Moved
“Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.” – Matthew 7:7
Have you been waiting on God to move a mountain in your life? Matthew 7:7 speaks of God’s willingness to answer those who sincerely seek Him. These are promises that God provides through prayer, not a means of spiritual manipulation that guarantee God will answer any and everything that we want.
This verse highlights two things: that God is listening, and that God responds. Nothing you take to God is so small to that it doesn’t deserve prayer. And understand, when you are earnest in your conversation and sincere in waiting on the outcome, it provides the perfect opportunity for God to show you that He is Jehovah Jireh, your provider.
When you are struggling to trust, God wants to you to remember the mountains He’s already moved. Sometimes we can get so busy counting our burdens that we don’t take time to count our blessings. One of the most assuring ways to know God will do what He said is to recall what He has already done.
The struggle you are going through right now might be tough. But you probably can remember a time in the past when you also struggled to have faith, and God delivered you. He delivered on His promise. And He will do so again. Just believe that it’s already done!
