I’ll Be With You
“Do not fear, For I have redeemed you; I have summoned you by name; you are mine. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze.” - Isaiah 43:1-2
When it comes to God’s delivery, one thing is for certain; God will be with you. So often, we focus only on the destination. Because it is clear, it’s positive, and if we can get there, it feels safe. But what about the journey? That can be a bit more unsettling. The uncertainty, the inevitable struggles, the hard times, and the waiting don’t feel so secure.
In Isaiah 43, the Lord says, “I have redeemed you, I have summoned you, you are mine, I will be with you, the water’s won’t overwhelm you, the fires won’t bury you, the flame won’t consume you, I am the Lord your God, I give a country for your ransom, I love you, I will change anything for you, I am with you, I will see your children, I will speak for you, I created you, I formed you, I chose you, I’m that guy. I was in the past, I will be in the future, I am right here, I am God.”
He will act against those who hurt you, and He will do something better in the future than He did in your past.
If you are reading this, God is telling you these promises. He is who He says He is. He will do what He said He would do. And no matter what happens, He will always be with you!
