A Divine Partnership

“Give and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.” - Luke 6:38
One of the primary ways to show God you are committed to Him is through sacrificial giving and tithing. We might believe God can and will do what He said He would, but when we fail to give, we aren’t demonstrating to God our commitment to the task.
Sacrificial giving signals to God that we want His partnership. It is why Jesus said in Luke 6:38, “Give and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.” It is why God says of tithing in Malachi 3 that it causes Him to open up the window of heaven and pour out blessings.
Child of God, if you are looking to experience a new dimension of faith, then start taking seriously the power of sacrificial giving. Sacrificial giving opens the door that invites God to come into your life and to give you a hand. The sacrifice is not just about giving money. You can give your time, resources, and talents to upbuild God’s kingdom.
Are you waiting for God to move before you do? Maybe you keep looking for something to change. If I just got that new job, then I would give, If I just made “x” amount of money, then I could give. Perhaps the change you need is not physical. Maybe God is testing your heart to see if you will have the faith to trust him when your circumstances say you should do otherwise. Choose today to step out on faith and trust that God will meet each and every one of your needs.
