Limitless Limitations
“But he said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.’ Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.” - 2 Corinthians 12:9
We have been discussing the story in Matthew 20 of the two blind men who asked Jesus to heal them. They wanted to be able to see. These men faced many obstacles in their lives because of their conditions, but they refused to let their limitations limit them.
Many people are so caught up on what they don’t have that they fail to utilize what they do have. Don’t let a deficiency keep you from utilizing your gifts and abilities. Matter of fact, the Lord says, “my power is made perfect in weakness" (2 Corinthians 12:9). God can use that weakness for His glory.
These two men in 2 Corinthians could not see, but they could hear, and they could speak, and by using what they had, they got the attention of Jesus. A breakthrough will happen in your life when you take the time to tap into the power of what you have, rather than focusing on what you don’t have.
If you are a believer, you have Jesus Christ on your side. No matter what limitations you have, whether they are physical, mental, emotional, it does not matter because Jesus will complete what you cannot. All throughout the Bible we see heroes who had glaring weaknesses that God still used. It is not about what you can’t do. Will you allow God to use you and perfect what you consider imperfect? If you will do so, you can have limitless limitations!
