What God Permits… He Prepares

“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.” - Romans 8:28
Have you ever asked God why He allows certain things to happen? Why an issue had to arise and why you can’t just avoid the problem altogether? The disciples wondered the same thing when it came to Jesus’ death and why He had to depart from them.
What they were facing was one variable within the context of something greater that God had pre-ordained and pre-arranged in preparation for the greater good. The disciples saw death, but Jesus saw life. The disciples saw betrayal, but Jesus saw salvation.
We stress the process when God is telling us, I have already pre-destined the outcome. That’s why Paul says in Romans that all things work together for the good of those who love God and who have been called according to His purpose. Because God would never set you up for failure. What you see as a harsh lesson is actually a blessing because the uncomfortable times allow you to grow mentally, emotionally, and spiritually.
This challenge will not break you unless you allow it to. Think about it as if you are in training. You may be fatigued, you may be worn out, but ultimately you are going to be stronger and more prepared for what’s ahead.
So don’t let your temporary feelings affect your faith. Make up your mind that you WILL NOT quit. Trust and believe that everything is working for your good, because it is!
