God The Giver of Hope

"May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.” - Romans 15:13

When God stands at the door knocking, He not only wants to give His help, but He also wants to give His hope. As we mentioned yesterday, we are all in need of God’s help. But for some, it is not a physical need of help, but instead the need of hope.

Hal Lindsey once said, “Man can live about forty days without food, about three days without water, about eight minutes without air…but only for one second without hope.” Hope is the fuel that drives your engine. Without it, there is no reason to live. Nothing is worth striving for, working for, or waiting for. There is no excitement about what the future can bring, and what life might look like one day.

God wants you to have hope. He wants you to hope for what could be. God will provide you with everything you need to make His vision and His will a reality. But in order to truly believe and expect for this to happen, you must have hope. When put in the right place, hope is a beautiful thing. It can provide the energy you need when you feel tired, or the extra motivation to keep going when things don’t look great just yet.

No matter where you are in life… God has more in store. The mere fact you are breathing says God still has a plan for your life. And that, my friend, is worth having hope for. If you are struggling to believe in what the future could bring, in what God can do in your life, ask Him for hope. He is the ultimate giver of hope, and He wants to show you just what all He has in store for you.
