Using The Gifts You’re Given
“Give, and it will be given to you. Good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, will be put into your lap. For with the measure you use it will be measured back to you.” - Luke 6:38
Are you making the most out of the gifts God has given you? Many Christians (and human beings in general) spend more time complaining about the characteristics they lack, rather than maximizing the abilities they have been given. These gifts come in many different forms. Whether they are physical attributes, personality traits, or mental fortitude. No matter who you are, God will give you the gifts you need to accomplish His perfect will for your life.
The problem for many, though, is that they spend more time worrying about the gifts they were not given, rather than doubling down on what they have been given. God has made every individual unique. And therefore, each individual has a unique purpose He wants them to fulfill. Not everyone will be pastors or church leaders. It does not matter if you are a performer, musician, athlete, accountant, engineer, or scientist. God has a plan that will allow you to use those gifts to advance His Kingdom.
Your job is simply to find the gifts He has given you, and determine the best way to use them. Often times God is not particular about the job you take. He allows you to make that decision and is more concerned that you use your gifts, regardless of the job title or business venture. This puts the ball in your court. Will you use the gifts God has given you? Or will you compare what you can’t do to what others can? Or will you even wish that you had different gifts?
Remember, only you can fulfill the purpose and plan God designed for you. You have all the tools you need, and best of all, you have a Creator who will design and align every situation along the way. He is ready for you to make your mark. The question is, will you play with the cards you’ve been dealt?
