You Are Still Blessed
“There was a prophet, Anna the daughter of Phanuel, of the tribe of Asher. She was of a great age, having lived with her husband seven years after her marriage, then as a widow to the age of eighty-four. She never left the temple but worshiped there with fasting and prayer night and day. At that moment she came, and began to praise God and to speak about the child to all who were looking for the redemption of Jerusalem.”
- Luke 2:36-38
Do you ever stop in the midst of trials or difficult circumstances you are going through, and think, “how did I get here?” It is a question everyone asks at some point or another. You get to a place in your life that you never expected to be. You might even begin to wonder if you will ever reach the destination you dreamed of - if you will ever get to live the life you always expected you would.
The good news, though, is that if you have accepted Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior, you are still blessed. No matter what you are currently going through (or will go through in the future) and no matter how different life looks than what you expected, God has still blessed you and has a plan for you. Everything that happens in your life, is for a purpose. That’s right, it is not a coincidence that you’re going through all of these trials and difficulties.
God will use the circumstances you find yourself in right now to propel you towards where He is leading you. No matter what your current situation looks like, there is another chapter. However, you do not decide when this current chapter ends and when the next begins. So use this time to grow! God might be pulling you out of your comfort zone to grow you. He wants to prepare you for what He has next. Use this time wisely and allow God to prepare you for the blessings He has coming. No matter where you are now, you are still blessed, and God will use your trials to prepare you for future blessings.
