Closer Than You Think
“You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.” – Jeremiah 29:13
There is something inside most people that wants to know what is next. What is the plan, the purpose, the endgame? We want to make sense of our lives and feel like we are going somewhere meaningful. So we chase goals, make plans, and search for direction. But as helpful as those things can be, they are not where it all begins.
The foundation of your future is not a to-do list or a five-year strategy. It is your closeness to God. Real clarity starts when you stop trying to figure everything out on your own and start drawing near to the One who already knows how the story ends. When you seek God first, something shifts in how you see everything else. Your perspective begins to change. What looked like the end starts to look like a turning point. What once felt like failure starts to feel like preparation.
God is not finished with your story. Just because things have not gone how you expected does not mean His plan has been canceled. That delay you faced might just be the space He is using to develop you. The pain you experienced might be what softens your heart for what He is leading you into. The part of your life you regret the most might be the very thing He will redeem to impact someone else.
When you get close to God, you begin to see that there is still so much left to live for. Your best chapter is not behind you. He is still writing. But He writes in partnership with your faith. That is why getting close to Him matters. The more you seek Him, the more your vision clears. Not because you suddenly see every step, but because you trust the One who is guiding each one.
If you feel stuck or uncertain about what is next, let that uncertainty push you toward God, not away from Him. Let your questions become conversation. Let your doubts lead to deeper dependence. Because vision rises in the presence of the One who gave you breath. And when you draw near to Him, you will find that the next chapter is not only possible, it is closer than you think.
