A New Revelation of God
"I am the Alpha and the Omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the end." - Revelation 22:13
What happens when the faith you’ve been living by no longer seems to work? When you’ve trusted God for something—a breakthrough, a healing, a promise—and it doesn’t come in the way or timing you expected? If you’ve ever been there, you’re not alone. Many of us have a faith that’s shaped by what God can do for us. But God is calling you to something deeper.
Abram faced this challenge. His understanding of God had been tied to what God could do for him: intervening, providing, delivering. When the promise didn’t come for years, Abram’s faith began to falter. He started to wonder, “If God hasn’t done what I believed He would do, does that mean He’s not God?”
That’s when God revealed something new to Abram, that He was and is the Lord Almighty. This name was bigger than any problem, broader than any circumstance. It wasn’t about what God could do for Abram in a moment. It was about who God is, period. Whether the promise came or not, whether the situation changed or not, God was still God.
Next-level faith doesn’t hinge on what God can do for you. It rests in who God is. It’s faith that says, “Even if the breakthrough doesn’t come, I trust You. Even if the promise seems delayed, I know You are faithful. Even if the answer isn’t what I hoped, I know You are good.”
God may be calling you to a deeper revelation of who He is. He wants to grow your faith beyond a relationship where you trust Him only when things go your way. He wants you to know Him as the Almighty, the Alpha and Omega, the God who is enough.
When your faith shifts from what God can do for you to trusting who God is, you’ll find strength to face impossibilities. That’s the kind of faith that moves mountains, opens doors, and sustains you through any season. Trust Him today, not for what He can give, but for who He is.
