More Blessed Than You Think
“In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace” - Ephesians 1:7
You really are more blessed than you realize. Maybe you don’t feel it because your bank account is low or your dreams are still sitting on the shelf. Maybe you’ve convinced yourself that being blessed means being visibly successful, but God sees blessing differently than the world does. If you’ve got peace when the storm is still raging, you’re blessed. If you’ve got joy that doesn’t make sense, you’re blessed. If you’re still standing, still trusting, still hoping, then you’re more blessed than you know.
The world has trained us to measure our worth by stuff. If your life doesn’t look like a highlight reel on social media, you start to wonder if God forgot about you. But Christianity isn’t about chasing a dream life; it’s about receiving new life. Jesus didn’t go to the cross to give you a mansion or a brand-new car. He gave His life to redeem your soul, to forgive your sins, and to set you free from the weight of the world. The stuff fades, but salvation doesn’t.
Paul knew this well. As he wrote to the Ephesians, he reminded them that in Christ we have been given every spiritual blessing. Then he got specific. We have been redeemed, forgiven, lavished with grace, trusted with purpose, and marked with a heavenly inheritance. Those five blessings are not abstract ideas. They are spiritual realities given by the Son of God, and they belong to you right now. Whether you feel it or not, whether life looks like it or not, they are yours because you belong to Him.
When you start to grasp that, it changes how you walk through life. You stop comparing. You stop chasing what doesn’t last. You stop wondering if God’s hand is on you. You already have what matters most. You already carry the power that raised Jesus from the dead. So today, stop waiting to feel blessed and start walking in the blessings God has already given you. You are redeemed, forgiven, chosen, and equipped. You are not behind. You are not empty. You are more blessed than you think.
