Stay Open to What God Wants to Show You
"Behold, I am doing a new thing. Now it springs forth. Do you not perceive it?" - Isaiah 43:19
One of the most important things you can do in your walk with God is stay open to what He wants to show you. When Jesus spoke to the people in Matthew 5, they thought they already knew everything about God. They were certain they had the commandments figured out. But Jesus showed them there was more.
He taught that killing was not just about taking a life but also about hurting someone with your words or your attitude. He explained that adultery starts in the heart long before it shows up in action. He showed that if you live by getting even every time someone wrongs you, you will end up with a world full of hurt and brokenness.
Jesus was pushing people to go deeper. He wanted them to see that God cares about what is inside as much as what is outside. But to receive that teaching, they had to be open to hearing something new.
You may think you know how God works or what the Bible says. But what if God wants to show you something fresh? What if He wants to challenge your thinking or expand your understanding?
Being open to new revelations does not mean you throw away the truth. It means you stay humble. It means you allow God to deepen your heart and raise your standard of love, grace, and compassion.
There are people watching how you live and listening to what you say. Some are struggling right now. Some are feeling broken, rejected, or trapped. They do not need more condemnation. They need to hear that hope is still possible. They need to know that God sees them, loves them, and has a way forward.
As you walk through your faith journey, be willing to let God stretch you. Ask Him to teach you what love really looks like. Ask Him to show you how to reflect His grace to the people around you.
When you stay open to God’s voice, you will become someone who brings life and healing instead of harm. And when people encounter you, they will walk away saying, “If that is your God, I want to know Him too.”
