When God Says No

Anyone who has spent any time with God knows that discovering the will of God is anything but an exact science. There’s aren’t 6 easy steps like the scientific method and boom, you have the will of God for your life. It’s a journey that requires careful attention and constant cultivation over an extended period of time. One cannot microwave faith into maturity. It requires slow, methodical engagement, and a desire to love and worship God with your whole heart. But just because you are faithfully following and pursuing God doesn’t mean He’s going to answer all of your prayers the way you want Him to. Just because you pray 5 times a day, tithe, worship every Sunday that God is somehow obligated to give you what you want, but He’s not. So, if we want to be in the will of God, we have to be ready sometimes for God to say, “No.”
